Support

Annual Fund Volunteers

Each year, a dedicated group of parents and alumni volunteer their time and efforts to support the Annual Fund. In addition to making their own donations, they work closely with the development office, reaching out to their peers to encourage annual giving. Outreach can take whatever form is most reasonable and appropriate for the volunteer–phone calls, text messages, emails, or occasionally even face-to-face appeals are all meaningful ways to help extend the reach and success of the school.

Career Mentoring
and Internships

Riverdale is always happy to coordinate with alumni and parents who may have available jobs or internships for current students or graduates. Please complete this information request, and we will post and distribute appropriately. In addition, if you are interested in becoming a mentor for a recent graduate in your industry, please be in touch with Rachel Horowitz, Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement, at 718-519-2709 or rhorowitz@riverdale.edu.

Alumni Association Executive Committee (AAEC)

Riverdale’s AAEC leads and represents the alumni body. Members are encouraged to sustain loyalty and enthusiasm among their peers by developing programs, initiatives, and events that promote the general welfare of the school and by encouraging alumni participation in activities and philanthropic support. If you are interested in becoming a member, please complete this online application.

Alumni Class Correspondents

Class Correspondents serve an important and highly visible role for Riverdale, facilitating communication between their classes and the school. Acting as the voice of their classmates, these volunteers solicit and submit Class Notes, provide updated information on “lost” alumni, and often serve as part of their Reunion Committee (see below) during their reunion years. As representatives of the school, correspondents are also asked to make annual gifts to Riverdale to the best of their ability, demonstrating their continuing commitment to the school both in time and philanthropy.

Reunion Committee

Reunions are a great time to reengage friends and classmates with one another and with Riverdale. Members of the Reunion Committee are an integral point of this reconnection and ensure a dynamic weekend. By networking, updating classmates’ contact information, planning class-specific gatherings, and promoting events through phone calls, emails, letters, and social media, Reunion volunteers help to encourage classmates to take part in the festivities and generate strong reunion attendance.
