Annual Giving
The Annual Fund, which runs every year from July 1 to June 30, provides the foundation for all other fundraising at Riverdale. Annual Fund gifts cover all aspects of education at Riverdale. The Annual Fund is primarily unrestricted support, to be used where it is needed most. This reliable base helps cover yearly expenses with flexibility, without which bigger projects are not feasible or wise. Institutions without a strong Annual Fund may find themselves in a cycle of crisis fundraising, asking for money because the organization is at immediate risk. Three important areas that are enhanced by Annual Fund giving are financial aid, faculty development, and curriculum innovation.
Financial Aid
Scholarship support allows all qualified applicants to attend Riverdale regardless of their ability to pay full tuition and ensures that a variety of perspectives inform the inquiring minds of our entire community. Nearly 20% of our students receive financial aid.
Qualified & Dedicated Faculty
Riverdale’s educators are given the resources necessary to implement cutting-edge teaching methods and are strongly encouraged to pursue professional development opportunities.
Thoughtful & Innovative Curriculum
At Riverdale, we have expanded the breadth and depth of both our curriculum and co-curriculum in order to cultivate individualized experiences for each student. Young people are given the freedom to develop projects and discover passions that enhance their academic experiences while preparing them for life after graduation.
