Alumni Association Committees
Alumni Community Engagement Team (ACET): Aims to develop programming that celebrates and engages our diverse alumni community across decades, identities, and lived experiences. They may meet during the year with Riverdale’s Institutional Equity Director(s) to gain enhanced understanding of the school’s goals today and to ensure alignment of the committee’s efforts with the school’s needs.
Events Committee: Supports the planning of three annual events: 1. a Homecoming / Reunion initiative or activity; 2. a career networking panel discussion focused on a different industry each year; and 3. an alumni panel discussion for current Riverdale seniors. Members may elect to help plan all three events or select one event on which to focus their efforts.
Development Committee: Assists Riverdale’s development office with their efforts to increase alumni participation in the school’s Annual Fund. This may include providing feedback on outreach or recognition plans, reaching out to classmates or other Riverdalians to encourage giving, and/or thanking donors for supporting the Annual Fund.
Nominating and Governance Committee: Evaluates AAEC membership each year to assess gaps in expertise, background, and other pertinent categories. Based on this assessment, the group then reviews, meets with, and discusses potential candidates to recommend to the full AAEC for approval during the final meeting of the school year.
